Development of a pumped storage hydroelectric power project to store energy during periods of surplus electricity generation in the electricity network and generate during periods of high demand using the stored energy.  

Element Engagement

Element was appointed as the NSW REAP on the project to certify that the EIS meets stringent government content and quality standards.

Project Achievements

Through our extensive experience in delivering State significant developments in NSW and our intimate knowledge of impact assessment methodologies, Element were able to quickly identify improvements required to the EIS to achieve the standard required by DPE. Element’s contribution allowed the client to develop a more robust EIS, without impacting the planning approvals program.

M1 Coffs Harbour Bypass
The Coffs Harbour Bypass project will upgrade 14 kilometres from Englands Road in the south of Coffs Harbour to Sapphire Beach in the north. Element was appointed to assist with Social Impact Assessment and Community and Stakeholder Engagement for this State Significant Infrastructure.
