Project Details
An $8 billion+ rail project, planned and constructed by Transport for NSW from Epping to Rouse Hill and onto Tullawong Road in north-western Sydney. This major commuter rail project spans approximately 23 kilometres, including 8 stations, 15 kilometres of twin bored tunnel and 8 kilometres of above ground rail line.
Element Engagement
Element’s engagement included:
- Lead author of environmental management plans
- Environment Manager for the Surface and Viaduct Civil Works
Neville was the project manager of 10 technical studies for the two State significant infrastructure planning approvals.
Project Achievements
Took the initiative to fully understand the construction program and all activities associated with each stage of construction to allow prioritisation of construction approvals and environmental management deliverables to prevent any delays to construction due to outstanding environmental approvals.
Took an envelope approach to the technical studies to allow flexibility in design and rapid assessment of design changes, without needing to remobilise a 70 person technical specialist team.
