Element has been engaged by the Department of Planning and Environment to develop a Design Guide for the potential rezoning of Explorer Street in Eveleigh - an inner-city suburb of the City of Sydney for the purpose of development.  Coinciding with the development of the Urban Design Study and associated Masterplan - Element's engagement to prepare the Design Guide will enable and strengthen DPE's future rezoning package aiming to be placed on exhibition in late-2024.  

Element Engagement

Element's engagement included:

  • The preparation of the Design Guide to a high standard and incorporating DPHI, Council and LAHC feedback. 
  • The preparation of a communications document, written in plain English, to support the exhibition of the rezoning package, and
  • Attendance at regular project meetings and provision of relevant advice on the planning controls and planning processes as needed.
