Project Details

Western Earthmoving was contracted for estate-wide earthworks at the Aspect Industrial Estate. Due to the environmental complexity and regulatory requirements of this State Significant Development, the company required environmental oversight and compliance support during construction. The project posed multiple environmental risks, including surface water pollution, dust, noise, waste, and potential disturbance of contaminated materials.

Element Engagement

Element was engaged to:
  • Review environmental management plans to assess their adequacy and feasibility.
  • Conduct weekly site inspections during the initial eight weeks, followed by fortnightly inspections.
  • Provide ad hoc environmental compliance advice as required.

Project Achievements

Element applied its expertise in environmental management and compliance to proactively identify and address potential risks. By conducting thorough reviews of environmental documentation and frequent site inspections during high-risk periods, Element ensured early identification of non-compliance issues. Its structured oversight helped maintain environmental standards and supported WEM in meeting regulatory obligations under NSW environmental legislation.
