Project Details
A new fleet of intercity rolling stock was procured to operate within the NSW electrified network serving the Central Coast, Newcastle, Blue Mountains, and the South Coast. This major Transport for NSW (TfNSW) procurement initiative is known as the New Intercity Fleet (NIF) Program. The Station and Signalling Enabling Works project entails car markers, balises, platform extensions, alterations to signalling installations, changes to existing signals and associated platform system works at 140 stations along the intercity rail network.
Element Engagement
Element’s engagement included:

- Provision of construction and planning advice
- Construction site environmental management
- Environmental compliance management
- Environmental control maps
Project Achievements
Element worked collaboratively with the project engineers, site managers and superintendents to educate them on their environmental obligations and achieve a high level of environmental compliance throughout the entire project delivery.
