Project Details

A new purpose-built train maintenance facility and rail overbridge is built at Kangy Angy on the NSW Central Coast. The facility services and maintains the new intercity trains fleet and includes offices, amenities, staff parking and ancillary buildings. The key benefits include:

  • Reducing the costs of intercity operations
  • Facilitating an increased fleet capacity for intercity passengers
  • A new access bridge connecting Enterprise Drive with Orchard Road and enabling flood egress for residents

Element’s engagement included:

  • Preparation of Community Relations Management Plans
  • Provision of Community Relations Manager
  • Professional interface with stakeholders
  • Complaints and enquiries management

Project Achievements

Element worked collaboratively as an in-house Community Relations Manager and through a genuine and proactive approach to community engagement, facilitated the efficient delivery of the project by reducing project delays due to community resistance.
